ISIN course for the Carabinieri on nuclear safety and radiation protection

The professional course on nuclear safety and radiation protection is held today, via videoconference, held by the technicians of the Inspectorate and intended for the Radioactive Substances Pollution Section of the Carabinieri Command for Environmental Protection and Energy Safety.

The training day takes place as part of a memorandum of understanding between ISIN and the Carabinieri signed on 20 May 2020 and includes various lesson modules on regulatory and operational aspects, with particular reference to the new legal provisions introduced by Legislative Decree n.101/2020.

Among the topics addressed, the decommissioning of nuclear plants, the transport of radioactive materials, the surveillance activities of the ISIN, the management of radioactive waste, the radiological characterization of materials, the radiological protection assessments on radioactive effluents and the remediation of contaminated areas .
