National deposit of radioactive waste, the hearing of the director ISIN Pernice at the Bicameral Commission on illegal activities related to the waste cycle

From the role of the Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection in the process that the CNAPI will lead - through the National Seminar - to the CNAI to the actions underway to contribute to the success of the phase of identification of suitable areas for the construction of the National Repository, up to the details relating to the Italian authorization process and its implications in the international management system of these paths.
On these issues, the director of ISIN, Maurizio Pernice, reported to the Chamber today providing his contribution to the in-depth study on the issue of the National Deposit initiated by the "Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into illegal activities connected with the waste cycle and environmental crimes related to them ".
The meeting, via videoconference, opened with an introduction by the director Pernice focused, in particular, on the phases that will mark the entire procedural process up to the definition of the place that will host the National Repository and on the critical issues raised by the IAEA in 2016.
Subsequently, the president of the parliamentary commission, Stefano Vignaroli, and the other participants asked some questions.
