Nuclear safety and radiation protection, the ISIN training course for the Carabinieri has started

With the visit of the Carabinieri Command for Environmental Protection and Ecological Transition at the ISIN Laboratories in Castel Romano, the professional course on nuclear safety and radiation protection held by the Inspectorate technicians began.

The course, which takes place as part of a memorandum of understanding between ISIN and the Arma dei Carabinieri stipulated on May 2020, includes various lesson modules on the regulatory and operational aspects of nuclear safety and radiation protection for workers and of the population, with particular reference to the new legal provisions introduced by Legislative Decree no.101 / 2020.

In addition to the lectures, which will be held in Video Conference, the program also includes technical visits. Two training days, in fact, will take place at the ISIN Laboratories of Castel Romano, where the aspects of radioactivity measurement will be studied in depth; one day, with the collaboration of ENEA, will take place at the Nucleco laboratories and warehouses, at the Casaccia Research Center, where the management aspects of medical-health waste will be studied.
