Nuclear safety in Europe, also ISIN at the ENSREG Conference

The sixth European Conference on Nuclear Safety, organized by the Group of Nuclear Safety Authorities (ENSREG), in collaboration with the European Commission, will be held in Brussels on 20 and 21 June.

Among the participants, the president of the Working Group on radioactive waste management and decommissioning as well as coordinator of the ISIN Council, Stefano Laporta.

The event will be broadcast in web streaming (in the next few days, the link to connect will be communicated on the ENSREG website).

Among the topics that will be addressed, nuclear safety in times of severe crisis, such as the war in Ukraine and the pandemic, public participation in waste management and long-term operation of nuclear power plants, regulatory challenges representing innovative projects , such as small modular reactors.
