Obligations of registration and communication to STRIMS by dentists, ISIN responds to the National Association of Italian Dentists

The Inspectorate responds to ANDI, the National Association of Italian Dentists which, last February, submitted a regulatory question to ISIN regarding the applicability of the obligations of Legislative Decree n.101/2020 of registration and communication to dental structures, in as holders of x-ray machines.
In response to this request, the Inspectorate provided detailed arguments, confirming the applicability of the rule also to holders of x-ray machines.
ISIN also reiterated that the registration and communication of STRIMS have as their objective the traceability of ionizing radiation sources, from the beginning of detention to its cessation and up to the final dismantling, and constitute an individual obligation whose correct fulfillment also allows evade responsibility for any illicit use or disposal of sources disposed of by the holder through third parties authorized to transport or dismantle them.
Finally, with regard to STRIMS, an update of the questions and answers that emerged following the 4 Webinars of 8 and 9 February and 22 and 29 March is made available. These are questions raised by healthcare facilities and dental and dental practices and which ISIN publishes for the benefit of subjects who use, for medical exposure purposes, radiation generators and radioactive materials, and for which the obligation to registration in the computer system.
