Radiation protection, ISIN at the XXXVIII AIRP National Congress

The national conference of the AIRP, the Italian Association of Radiation Protection, kicks off on 28 September.

Among the topics that will be addressed during the event, radiation protection, non-ionizing radiation, environmental radioactivity, decommissioning, measurements, medical physics and NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials).

The Inspectorate, involved in the scientific committee of the event, participates with two speeches: the first dedicated to the new National Plan for the management of radiological and nuclear emergencies, the second on the safety of nuclear plants in war conflict scenarios.

ISIN will also be present with a poster entitled: "Calibration of five alpha spectrometers (AirThings Corentium Pro) with solid state detectors of the silicon photodiode type and drafting of an operating instruction for the use of the instruments in analytical practice" .

The meeting of the AIRP, which will end on 30 September, proposes the Youth Award, reserved for under 40s, which will be awarded to the best work on the subject of radiation protection.
