Supervisory activities, ISIN appoints new inspectors and updates Regulations and Guidelines.
The Inspectorate has recently updated the Regulations on the exercise of supervisory activities, and issued new Guidelines for the performance of inspection and control activities.
The need to revise the Guidelines was based on the experiences acquired over the last two years in particular, also in order to streamline inspection procedures, while still preserving their effectiveness: to do this, changes have been made mostly in terms of both planning and finalization of inspections, in particular by providing - in the event that the results do not highlight elements of irregularity - a simplified communication procedure in which technical and/or organizational improvements can still be requested from the operator.
Another significant new element concerns the training of inspectors. In this sense, ISIN has deployed its most mature skills to train a new group of inspectors, who can give further impetus to the activity, defining specific appointment procedures that guarantee - on the part of the new inspectors - maximum authority as well as the broadest uniformity of interpretation of such a significant role.
