Nuclear Safety, ISIN participates in the international CONVEX-3 evaluation meeting

The international evaluation meeting of the CONVEX-3 exercise (Convention Exercise Level 3), which took place in June, was held in Romania on December 15 and 16.
The meeting, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Romanian regulator CNCAN, provided an opportunity for international discussion of the exercise's main findings and lessons learned.
ISIN participated in the meeting remotely, presenting the results of the exercise conducted in Italy to the international community and highlighting the strengths and key weaknesses of the national and international system.
These exercise activities aim to test the response of states party to the international conventions on prompt notification and assistance in the face of anomalous scenarios related to hypothesized nuclear and radiological incidents.
During last June's exercise, ISIN activated its Nuclear Emergency Center and the National Environmental Radioactivity Surveillance Network (RESORAD) and coordinated the activities of the Data Processing and Evaluation Center (CEVaD).
