"ISIN, discovering the invisible": the Inspectorate at the Earth Village 2026
World Earth Day, the most important global event dedicated to protecting the planet, is celebrated on April 22nd. In Italy, the heart of the celebrations is the Earth Village, organized by Earth Day Italy.
From April 16th to 19th, 2026, the splendid Roman setting between the Pincio Terrace and the Villa Borghese Racetrack will host a rich program of events, in which ISIN will participate for the first time. Four days will offer an engaging mix of shows, cultural events, and sports activities, with a special focus on children: an entire village dedicated to them, enlivened by educational workshops and programs.
ISIN will be present at the Earth Village with a booth, three workshops, and a meeting for university students and the curious: "A Journey Through Natural Radioactivity," "Radiation vs. Shielding," "Natural and Artificial Radioactivity: Measuring It Is Possible!" and "ISIN Introduces Itself."
The activity in the "JOURNEY THROUGH NATURAL RADIOACTIVITY" educational workshop consists of a short game designed to introduce elementary school children to the concepts of atoms, radioactivity, and radon through fun and easy-to-use tools.
At the end of the game (expected time 30 minutes), they will receive some goodies.
"RADIATION VS. SHIELDING" is an educational workshop for middle school students designed to introduce them, through practical demonstrations and fun, to the concepts of atoms, radiation, natural and artificial radioactivity, and radon.
At the end of the game (expected time 30 minutes), they will receive some goodies.
"NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL RADIOACTIVITY: MEASURING IT IS POSSIBLE!" is a 30-minute activity designed to explain to high school students not only what natural and artificial radioactivity means but also to provide them with useful information about radon, its presence indoors, and the positive actions aimed at reducing exposure, including among the general public.
"ISIN presents itself" will be an opportunity for university students and anyone interested in learning about the Inspectorate's many activities.
