Nuclear safety and environmental monitoring: new ISIN Laboratories inaugurated today

The new headquarters of the radiometric laboratories at the Tecnopolo Tiburtino in Rome was inaugurated today. The move to the new facility has been completed, marking the beginning of a full recovery phase of activities in a context with improved infrastructure and improved development prospects.

"Today's inauguration represents a fundamental leap forward for the Inspectorate: ISIN's radiometric and investigation laboratories are a strategic asset for an organization that, in addition to its regulatory functions, holds highly significant technical responsibilities, through which it intends to demonstrate its technical and scientific authority as well as its ability to engage with universities and research. The activities of our laboratories will be an essential key to ISIN's fulfillment of its responsibilities, in synergy with the system of national competent authorities and in compliance with the IAEA's guidelines, which are received through the CBCTO, of which the Inspectorate—with its ITL10 line—is proudly a member. A heartfelt "thank you" goes to all those who, with their commitment, professionalism, and passion, have enabled us to reach today's inauguration," concluded Director Campanella in his inaugural speech.
