STRIMS portal, new function to manage cases of assignment to third parties by transfer/incorporation/merger without transfer.

A new function has been released in the STRIMS portal to allow operators to manage the cases of conferral of sealed sources or X-ray machines to third parties in cases of transfers, incorporations, corporate mergers without the transfer of the same by carrier.

Operator A who intends to communicate the cessation of detention with conferment to operator B must:

- select the "declaring office" where the sealed sources or X-ray machines are held;
- in the "Type of communication" field, select the item "Communication to the Register of ionizing radiation sources";
- in the "Type" field, select the item "Termination of possession or internal transfer between offices";
- in the "Type of Cessation" field, select the item "Transfer to third parties by transfer/incorporation/merger without transfer";
- in the "Transfer" section, indicate the identification data of merchant B.
Filling in carrier data is not required.

Merchant B must:

- register on STRIMS using the "Registration" operation, indicating the location where the sealed sources or X-ray machines are kept;
- communicate, for that location, the initial inventory of sealed sources or x-ray machines.
Even for high-activity sources it is possible to manage the assignment to third parties by transfer/incorporation/merger without transfer.
