Earthquake in Croatia, SNSA confirms: "No impact on the functioning of the Slovenian Krško power plant".

ISIN, in contact with the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Authority, has sent an information to the italian Civil Protection Department and to ARPA Friuli Venezia Giulia.

There were no consequences at the Krško nuclear power plant in Slovenia following the earthquake that hit Croatia in the Zagreb area this morning. The earthquake was detected by the seismic monitoring system of the plant, at levels such as not to require the automatic safety shutdown of the reactor.

Nuclear power plant staff inspected the systems and equipment and found no impacts on the operation of the plant and equipment due to the earthquake. The Krško nuclear power plant therefore remains operational.
ISIN, in the context of the bilateral cooperation agreement on the topic of preparedness and response to nuclear emergencies, promptly contacted the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Authority (SNSA) and provided details to the Civil Protection Department and at ARPA Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Slovenian Authority is providing updates on the matter on the institutional website (https://www.gov.si/en/news/).
