Legislative and regulatory systems still in comparison. ISIN hosted a delegation of the Kosovo Nuclear Safety Authority.
The meeting with a delegation of the Kosovo Agency for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (KARPNS) was held today at the ISIN headquarters, useful for updating of mutual interest on the legislative and regulatory systems of the respective activities but also an opportunity to establish direct lines of communication between the staff of the two Authorities. It was a useful moment for sharing experiences and best practices, which strengthened the spirit of friendship and collaboration between ISIN and KARPNS, and laid the foundations for future cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening security in the nuclear and radiological fields.
The visit of the Kosovar delegation is part of the "KOS-18/0005 - Support for the European Integration of Kosovo" project, promoted and financed by the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo which aims to strengthen the skills of the public administration of Kosovo in nine sectors subject to Community obligations deriving from EU Directives: free movement of capital, financial services, information and media, statistics, social policy and employment, environment, consumer protection and health, financial control and energy.
Tomorrow the delegation, accompanied by experts from the Inspectorate, will visit the NUCLECO plant in Casaccia, in the province of Rome.
