Online the Annual Report to the Government and Parliament

On the website of the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection, the Annual Report of the Director of ISIN to the Government and Parliament, on the activities carried out in 2021 and on the state of nuclear safety in the national territory, is available. The document is drawn up and sent every year, as required by current legislation, and represents an important tool to take stock of the objectives achieved by ISIN and lay the foundations for future actions.

The implementation of effective controls and high levels of safety to protect the population, workers and the environment from the risks of ionizing radiation, constitutes in fact the institutional mission of the Inspectorate.

This general objective is expressed in actions aimed at implementing organizational measures, increasingly effective and technical solutions constantly in line with the evolution of scientific knowledge at an international level, to strengthen supervisory and control activities, to consolidate scientific skills and competences, to develop relationships and exchange of international knowledge and experience, to plan the generational change so as not to waste the wealth of experience gained by employees close to retirement and prevent solutions of continuity in the functions and tasks assigned.
