National platform for sustainable nuclear power, Isin also among the entities participating in the first meeting

The director of Isin, Maurizio Pernice, participated today in the first meeting of the National Platform for Sustainable Nuclear Energy (Pnss). The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (Mase) was chaired by the minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin with the participation of the main public research bodies, representatives of the academic world, associations scientific bodies, public entities operating in the nuclear safety and decommissioning sector as well as companies involved in the nuclear sector, in the production of components and systems and in medical applications.

The objective of the PNNS is to define a path aimed at the possible resumption of the use of nuclear energy in Italy and the growth opportunities of the national industrial chain already operating in the sector.
